He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Benjamin (Dewung Johnson); his grandchildren, Jace Benjamin, Ahlee'a Johnson and Ahleena Johnson; his goddaughter Chalana Brown, Sr. (Gorman); his nephew Wendell Thibeaux; his siblings, Lois Hagans (Larry) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Marian Broussard (Bradley) of Lafayette, Meldron Broussard, Sr. (Herbert) of Lafayette, Pamela Evans (Michael) of Maurice, Kevin Benjamin (Marie), Edward Benjamin, Sr. (Romaine) and Anthony Benjamin of Lafayette; and his aunts, Ethel Madear Mouton of New Orleans and Classie Bell Williams of Baton Rouge.
