He was predeceased by: his friend Carol "Cookie" Fayland; his grandparents, Mayola Alexander and Delton Criner, Sr.; his father Hayward Franklin, Sr.; his brother Hayward Franklin, Jr.; and his niece Keisha Lynn Franklin-Pierite.
He is survived by: his mother Cynthia Haynie; his brother Kenneth; his niece Keiantia Franklin; and his children, Kara, Mara, Don, Hallie, Serena, DaiJon, Donavan, Jasper, Hollis and Sharay.
