It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Hilliard of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Mable Diggs Alexander; her husband Jim Michael Hilliard; and her daughter Tremaine Alexander. She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn of Lafayette, Megan of Lafayette, Adriana of Lafayette and Sarah Alexander of Lafayette; her granddaughter Taylin Alexander; her daughter Renata Hawkins of Houston, TX; her stepsons, Romalus Howard Alfred Hilliard (Michelle) of Carencro, Jared Hilliard (Calmesha) of New Iberia, Jim Watson of New Iberia and Kortland Hilliard (Shannon) of Maryland; her siblings, Doretha, Reese of Centerville, Lisa Alexander of Centerville, Tina Alexander of Centerville, Alice Alexander of Sioux City, Michelle Nerve (Paul) of Verdunville, Tommy Alexander (Tamika) of Lafayette and Wilfred Alexander (Latravia) of Verdunville; her sisters-in-law, Alberta Taylor and Ellen Stewart of Lafayette; and her friend Katherine Mouton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
