She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Sampey and Viola Sampey (Bourgeois); her husband John Newton Martin; and her siblings, Otis Sampey, Ted Sampey and Lois Dufrene.
She is survived by: her children, Dottie Gautreaux (Mark) of Conroe Texas, Ted Martin of Lafayette and Maryann Boudreaux (Todd) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Courtney Martin (Zach), Josh Martin (Andrea), Jason Gautreaux, Samantha Martin (Sean), Annie Martin, Emily Martin, Noah Boudreaux and Andrew Boudreaux; and her great grandchildren, Jacques Martin, Mikelle Jane Martin, James Martin, Joseph Martin and Sylina DuParc.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Delhomme Funeral Home's Chapel of the Flowers (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506).
