She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Guidry and Eulalie Williams Guidry; her husband Charles Shelvin, Sr.; her son Charles Shelvin, Jr.; her siblings, Josephine Dugas (Adam), Viola Faulk (Willie), Peola Daniels, Preston Guidry (Agnes), Shefton Guidry (Esther), Wilson Guidry (Jeanette), Joe Guidry (Eloise), Curly Guidry (Coralie), Billy Guidry and Carson Guidry; her mother-in-law Elizabeth Shelvin; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Guidry, Rose Mae Shelvin and Rita Mae Narcisse (Oran).
She is survived by: her children, Charmaine Shelvin and Quincy Shelvin; her grandchildren, Nyla Shelvin, Shayla Shelvin and Kai Shelvin; her daughter-in-law Yvette Shelvin; her brother Leo Guidry; and her sister-in-law Shirley Guidry.
