He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin J. Lewis and Annabelle Williams Lewis; his siblings, Cynthia Ann Mouton, Dwight Lewis, Glenn Thomas Lewis and Kendall'Joe Green'Lewis; and his grandchild Sky Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Dannette J. Lewis of New Orleans, DeAnne Lewis Harris (Shannon) of Carencro, Deborah Glover (Troy) of Gonzales, Douglas J. Lewis, Jr. of Denver, Damian Lewis (Jazmine) of Lafayette, David J. Lewis of Houston, Texas. and Christopher Sillmon of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Da'Rielle Lewis, Da'Naisha Lewis, Julian Boudreaux, Alaneyea Lewis, Trinity Glover, Jayda Lewis and Croix Glover; and his siblings, Elaine Woodley (Muriel) of Lewisburg, Oradell Thibodeaux (Alvin) of Opelousas and Niel Lewis of Opelousas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, relatives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
