We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2023, Edith Fay (Tilley) Carpenter of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Alexandria, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Lewis Edward Carpenter; her parents, David Benjamin Tilley and Jeanette Vanada "Nettie" Tilley; and her friends, Barbara Cornet, Marjorie Cloud and Johnnie Nevils.
She is survived by: her children, Billie Carpenter Burley (Francis Marion), Beverly Carpenter Breaux (Timothy David), Robert Lewis Carpenter (Saralyn), Sylvia Carpenter McLain (Bryan Douglas), Rhonda Carpenter Hebert (Joel Anthony) and Todd Alan Carpenter (Lisa); her brother Charles Edward Tilley; her sister-in-law Nellie; her brother David Wesley Tilley (DW); her sibling-in-law Leatrice; her grandsons, Lewis Carpenter II and Benjamin Hebert; and her caregivers, Jackie Guidry, Sharon Kenny and Madeline Snead. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren as well as treasured nieces, nephews.
