It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Lee Doyal of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Edwin Doyal and Mary Evelyn Philips; his wife Betty Bradley Doyal; his son Charles Doyal; his siblings, Reese Doyal and Delma Culver; and his granddaughter Jessica McGovern.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Doyal (Carmen) and Patricia Doyal McGovern; and his grandchildren, Brandy Drake (Dan), Jennifer Russell (Matt), James McGovern, Julie McGovern, Andrew Quarels (Susan) and Tiffany Oliver. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lafayette Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
