He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleus Romero and Enola Gerard; and his siblings, Earless Romero, Sterling Romero, Wilfred Romero and Ellis Romero.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Navarre Romero; his children, Debbie Romero Stoot, Ronnie Romero (Jenny) and Laurie Romero Brunswick (Mike); and his sister Oline Campbell. He is also survived by five grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Delhomme Funeral Home - Lafayette (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the St. Anne Catholic Church Cemetery (201 Church St, Youngsville, LA 70592).
