It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Rogers Menard (Lafayette, Louisiana), who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Mouton and Wilfred Bonnet; his grandson Nicholas Wilfred Alfred; and his siblings, Joe Mouton, Mitchell Hypolite and Thelma Broussard.
He is survived by: his children, Francis Alfred, Quonya (Billy Alfred), Wilfred Alfred (Venice Alfred), Lorena Thomas (Electa Simpson), Jessica Dugar of Crowley, LA and Shantelle Alfred of Carencro, LA; and his siblings, Mary Williams, Edward Menard, Clarence Mouton, Anthony Mouton, Theresa Green, Glenn Bonnet, Nick Bonnet, Melanie Bonnet, Angela Baker and Doreen Bonnet. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Syrie Funeral Home from 8:00 a. m. until 10:00 a. m. All those in attendance must wear a mask or face covering.
