He is survived by: his children, Miko McDaniel (Charlotte McDaniel Dufrene), Tanya Clark (John Stacy Clark), Tally McDaniel, Donnie McDaniel (Elodie McDaniel), Gary "Dino" McDaniel, Jr. (KC McDaniel) and Tee McDaniel (Teresa McDaniel); and his grandchildren, Cody, Benjamin, Tylen, Hannah, Savannah, Gary, III, Khoda, Tucker, Kaleb, Talon, Sydney, Brody of Joshua, JD, Abbie, Rylee, Londyn, Aidan, Teagan and Grady.
