It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Donald Gilmore of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on June 2, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gilmore and Beulah Comeaux; his wife Jeanne Gilmore; and his daughter Pam Beadle. He is survived by: his son Ron Gilmore (Pam); his grandchildren, Blake Gilmore (Heather), Hayden Gilmore, Morgan Gilmore and Courtney Beadle; and his great grandchildren, Cole Gilmore and Blakely Gilmore.

“Donald and I went to school together. I was a very good friend to his sister, Betty. We lived on the same street in Berwick and I was a frequent guest in the Gilmore home. A few years ago Donald and I reconnected by phone. He wrote me one beautiful letter telling me about his wonderful wife and family. I kept the letter and cherish the memory of the phone calls. He told me (about his wife) "I've had the best, to h.... with the rest." He will be missed. He was my good friend.”
