He is survived by: his fiancée Sonja LeBlanc; his sons, Todd Smith and Robert Smith (Rhonda); his stepchildren, Brett LeBlanc (Karen), Angela Mataconis (Tom) and Chad LeBlanc; his grandchildren, Tatum Smith, Bryant Smith, Thomas Smith, Brittany Bares (Mitchell), Kourtney Dore (Shaney), Thomas Mataconis, Michael Mataconis, David Mataconis, Jacob LeBlanc and Sophie LeBlanc; his great grandchildren, Avery Bares and Magdalen Bares; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Smith and Lucille Walker; and his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Cihlar, Alicia Wysong, Mathew Smith and Richard Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church - Milton (100 E Milton Ave, Lafayette, LA 70508). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 25th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
