He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Romero and Marie Romero; his wife Solange Romero; his friend Audrey Choplin; his brother Albert Romero; and his sister-in-law Barbara Romero.
He is survived by: his son Harold Romero, Jr.; and his stepchildren, Marie, Joe and Millie. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren children; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
