We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2024, at the age of 87, Henry D Barker of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In bidding Henry adieu, let us not mourn the silence that now fills the spaces Henry once occupied, but rather celebrate the vibrant colors he painted upon the canvas of our lives. For while he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold S. Barker and Marcelle Daboval Barker; his brothers, Samuel H. Barker and Charles Barker; and the mother of his children Suzette Barra Barker.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Bragg of Lafayette; his children, Henry D. Barker, Jr. (Nancy) of Lafayette, Shawn B. Arceneaux (Troy Rue) of Breaux Bridge and Michelle B. John (William) of Carencro; his stepdaughters, Shannon B. Price of Liberty Hill, TX and Natalie B. Guilbeaux of Erath; and his sister Sally Wolfe. He is also survived by eight step grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the David Funeral Home of Lafayette On (316 Youngsville Hwy, Lafayette, LA 70508). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the David Funeral Chapel of Lafayette.
