It is with sadness that the passing of Hugh Larriviere (Lafayette, Louisiana) is shared. Hugh, born on January 16, 1935, passed away on September 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Hugh will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Hugh by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Hugh is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Hugh’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Arceneaux Larriviere; and his parents, Ben Larriviere and Louisa Larriviere. He is survived by: his son James Larriviere (Nichole); his grandchildren, Nicolas and Julia; his daughter Rachel MacGregor; and his grandchildren, Lauren and Ashley. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and one sister.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Mary Mother of the Church (419 Doucet Rd, Lafayette, LA 70503). A Mass was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
