She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Thompson and Lona Elliot Thompson; and her siblings, L. C., Willie of Elree, J. L., Grady Thompson and Susie Prosper.
She is survived by: her children, Rosena "Kitty" Brumfield (Lucious) of Lafayette, LA, Lesa Catalon of Maurice, LA and Jesse Johnson, Jr. of Baker, LA; her grandchildren, Bryan Brumfield of Monroe, LA, Tre Brumfield of Lafayette, LA, Myriah Johnson of Zachary, LA, Nikolas Catalon and America; her great grandchildren, Taylor Brumfield of Scott, LA, Adriana Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Maxwell Brumfield of Monroe, LA, Landry Brumfield of Monroe, LA and Zayne Brumfield of New Iberia, LA; her great great grandchild Maverick Miller of Scott, LA; her brother William Thompson, Jr. (Deborah) of Camden; and her sisters-in-law, Zenobia Thompson of Camden and Sharon Thompson Terrell of Baton Rouge, LA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Hope Baptist Church (287 Ouachita Rd 136, Stephens, AR 71764).
