He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanleigh O'Neill and Edwyne Bohne of Baton Rouge; and his brothers, Frank O'Neill and Patrick Pickens. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ellis O'Neill; his children, Shawn O'Neill (Sharon), Darren O'Neill, Erin Ardoin (Greg) and Brennan O'Neill (Kelly); his grandchildren, Taylor Ardoin, Jacob Ardoin, Elizabeth Ardoin Glass, Anne Christian Ardoin, Mary Claire Ardoin, Ian O'Neill, Alyssa O'Neill, Nick O'Neill and Joshua O'Neill; and his brother Clyde "Bonnie" O'Neill. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carmelite Monastery, Wounded Warriors or to the Calcutta House - Hospice of Acadiana.
