He is survived by: his daughter Japarri Sonnier (Jamie); his grandchildren, Ahlysa Sonnier, Aryanne Sonnier, Jamie Sonnier II, Nya Skipper and Alani Brown; his siblings, Gussie Taylor (Peewee), Lorecia Thibodeaux Henry, Yvonne Vllery (Francis) and Joseph Thibodeaux (Emily); and his former wife Linda Skipper. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
