He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. McLaurin Sr. "Mac" and Marguerite Angelle McLaurin; his brothers, James H. McLaurin Jr. "Jimmy" and Michael M. McLaurin; and his pet Speck.
He is survived by: his wife Debbe McLaurin; his children, Casey J. McLaurin (Rogell) of Maurice and Kelly P. McLaurin (Cassie) of Maurice; his grandsons, Dylan McLaurin, Cooper McLaurin and Bryson Lege; his sisters, Marguerite McLaurin Reid (Mike) of Lafayette and Linda McLaurin Shorey of Lafayette; and his pet Cheeter. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Saint Peter and Paul Knights of Columbus Hall (123 Lions Club Rd, Scott, LA 70583).
