He is survived by: his wife Danica Sinegal Simmons; his children, John Phillip Simmons, Jr., Jhai Phillip Simmons, Jett Phillip Simmons, Jon'navia Paige Simmons and Jerzee Evangeline Simmons; and his sisters, Jerri Simmons Lewis (Theotis), Joy and Jaslyn Simmons. He is also survived by nieces, nephew, relatives, and close friends.
