He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Sassau Calais; his parents, Mary Roy Calais and Rodney W. Calais; his sisters, Nola Mae Davis and Mary Adline Roberts; his grandchildren, Landon Dartez and Jakobe Richard; and his nephew Jeremy Borel.
He is survived by: his children, Rachel Dartez (Troy), Arlene Calais (Tauriano), Courtney Edmond (Brian), Raymond and Jonathan Calais of Cecilia, LA; his sisters, Mary Borel of Lafayette, LA and Mary Henry of Cecilia, LA; and his sisters-in-law, Yvonne Bernard of Breaux Bridge, LA and Mary Alice McZeal of Breaux Bridge, LA. He is also survived by great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
