It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Lee Harris (Lafayette, Louisiana), who passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Harris, and Joe Harris, Sr.; his sister Ollie May; his son Joseph "Joey" Harris, Jr.; and his brother Joe.
He is survived by: his children, Sean (Kendall), Juan, Gregory and Inger; and his wife Gwen. He is also survived by children, two nieces, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
