He is survived by: his wife Shirley Helaire; his children, Yolanda Thibeaux (Al) of Carencro, LA, Aceonne Sias of San Francisco, CA, Shantell Jones (Huey) of Katy, TX, Joseph Helaire III (Lacey) of Carencro, LA, Lumas Helaire (Kizzmekia Corbett) of Boston, MA, Brooklyn Hibbert (Jason) of Atlanta, GA and McQuiston Helaire of Lafayette, LA.; and his siblings, Ricky Charles Sr. (Melinda) of Opelousas, LA, Dorothy Breaux (Perry) of Lafayette, LA and Barbara Jenkins (Henry) of Seattle, WA.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and friends.
