He was predeceased by: his mother Dolores Chase Garrie; and his sister Donna Costello Lambert. He is survived by: his children, David J. Coffey, Harlie D. Coffey and Jedi W. Coffey; his grandchildren, Joslynn Coffey and Azura Coffey; the mother of his children Christy Coffey; his godchildren, Eva Davis, Elizabeth Davis and Jadious Guidry; and his siblings, Edwin Costello and Mary Martin (Richard).
