He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Sagasta, Ada Broussard, Kilren Sr. and Angeline Cheramie; his mother Rose Broussard Cheramie; his sisters, Suzanne Zaunbrecher (Denise Cheramie) and Etta Stilts Magee; and his father Kilren "Kank" Cheramie, Jr. of Louisiana.
He is survived by: his wife Velma; his son Gary (Jeanine); his granddaughters, Rachel, Elise and Jade Cheramie; his daughter Monique Hebert (Harold Hebert); his grandchildren, Hailey Hebert, Bryce and Connor McGee; his stepdaughter Jovelle Blackwell; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Logan Chambers and Jene'v Allen; his sister Colette Cheramie; his former wife Rose Broussard; his caregivers, Elizabeth Broussard, Becky Blanks and Sheryl Myers; his sister-in-law Sandra L. Nealis; his sibling's children, Ashley, Carrie and Jessica Nealis; and his granddaughter Julianne Cheramie. He is also survived by his family, friends, and neighbors.
