She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Sylvester and Edolia Sylvester; her husband Walter Thomas; and her sons, Benjamin, Rodney, Melvin and Donald Thomas.
She is survived by: her son Roy Thomas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 30+ great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
