He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurelien Sydney Chiasson and Ella Malbrough Chiasson; his stepmother Mildred Chiasson; his son Byron Joseph Chiasson; his great grandchild Megan LeBouef; and his siblings, Floyd Chiasson, Mike Chiasson, James Chiasson, Mona Sacco and Doris Sacco.

He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Marie Chiasson; his daughter Dawn Chiasson; his grandson Blake Jones; his great grandchild Sulli Odom; and his siblings, Norris Chiasson, Richard Chiasson, Betty Thibodaux, Agnes Gautier and Angela Waddell.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Houma (4690 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
