He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzell Gardner, Sr. and Thelma Kelly; his brothers, Charles Ray Kelly and Larry Gardner; and his parents-in-law, Jessie Brown, Sr. and Evelyn Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Deneen Gardner; his children, Eric Tolivour, Sr. (Tasha), Broderick Brown, Sr., Jessica Goodie and Keira Francis of Lafayette, LA; his grandson Broderick Brown, Jr.; his siblings, Loyce Hearld, Sara Bynum of Texas, Sandra Gardner, Sharon Barnes (James), Gina Zachery (Jeremiah) of Lafayette, LA, Jerome Gardner and Elmo Boudreaux (JoAnne) of Lafayette, LA; and his cousin Patrick Arceneaux of Lafayette, LA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
