She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther A. Walker and Nora Lucinda Akin Walker; her husband V. L. Auld; her son Joe Carl Auld; her siblings, Bill Walker, Vera Kincaid and Jackie McCarty Lemmon; and her siblings-in-law, Lance Kincaid, Homer McCarty, Claude Lemmon and Shirley Brogan Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Deanna Ames (Tom), Van Auld (Jacqueline) and Greg Auld (Teresa); her grandchildren, Tom Ames, Jr. (Debora), Carolyn Auld, Dr. Elizabeth Auld Scardina (Derek), Haley Auld and Hannah Churchwell (Cameron); and her great grandchildren, Thomas E. Ames, Benjamin Scardina, Waylon Auld, Samantha Ames, Vivian Goudelocke, Charlotte Goudelocke and Lauren Scardina. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home (1010 Pandora St, Lafayette, LA 70506). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
