She was predeceased by: her husband Hugh Hernandez; her parents, Marie Arceneaux and Davis Arceneaux; and her siblings, Saffer Domingue, Teddy and Stephen "Doo" Arceneaux.

She is survived by: her daughters, Martha M. Acosta and Francine A. Hernandez; her grandchildren, Jesse Acosta (Krystal) and Camille Acosta (Carlos); and her great grandchildren, Grant Acosta, Dean Acosta and Emma Acosta.
