He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ann" Bennett Sonnier Broussard; his children, Malcolm Broussard II of Lafayette, Christopher "Chris" Broussard (Elizabeth) of Chesapeake, VA, Katherine Carpenter (Alan) of Lafayette and Kelly Hardy of Maurice; his stepchildren, Renee Dore of Broussard, Mark Sonnier of New Iberia and Blaze Sonnier of Broussard; his grandchildren, Lauren Broussard, Steven Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter, Jared Langley, Ethan Langley and Halle Hardy; his stepgrandchildren, Brittani Dore, Courtney Dore, Breigh Sonnier, Ali Sonnier, Taylor Sonnier, Colby Sonnier, Chase Hardy and Layne Hardy; his siblings, Gerald Broussard of Lafayette, Jimmy Broussard of Scott and Margaret Rowe (Lamont) of Natchez, MS.; and his caregivers, Amy Romero, Brandy Moreno, Tanya Noel, Lateigra Arvie, Sharon Boone, Tiffany Ursin, Otharee Loston, Vivian St. Julien and Zita Brooks. He is also survived by his five great-grandchildren.
