Martin A. Tennison Obituary

Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 02, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro for Martin A. Tennison, age 83, who passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 3:15 a.m. at Courtyard Manor in Lafayette. Mr. Tennison was a native of Ada, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Lafayette since 1981. Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Diane Stewart Tennison of Lafayette; three sons, Martin Tennison of Stockton, CA, Mark Tennison of Lafayette and Frank Geier and his wife, Terri, of Joshua Tree, CA; four daughters, Valerie Swanson and her husband, Ken, of Redding, CA, Julie Forest and her husband, Casey, of Lafayette, Pamela Trunk and her husband, Steve, of Tavernier, FL and Cheryl Smith and her husband, Dave, of Fairfield, PA; one sister, Kay Green and her husband, Bob, of CA; 15 granchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Allen Tennison, Sr. and the former Hester Anne Gordon; two brothers, Ed Tennison and Larry Tennison; and one sister, Gail Tennison. The family will receive friends on Sunday 1:00 p.m. to service time.
