Meche of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Arnaudville, Louisiana, who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Meche and Elvina Latiolais; his brother Stoney Meche; and his parents-in-law, Clement and Emma Guidroz.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Guidroz Meche; his sister Priscilla Lastrapes; and his sisters-in-law, Leatrice Meche, Sybil Tullier and Velma Drake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
