He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Hesse and Dr. Robert Anthony Hesse. He is survived by: his siblings, Steve Hesse (Cheryl), James Hesse (Lisa), Claire H. Judice (Reggie) and John Hesse (Rita); and his cousins, Donnie and Greg Hesse. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

His family would like to thank Renee and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St. Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
