It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mona Gaudin (Lafayette, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on March 15, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlie J. Lapeyrolerie and Aline Michel Lapeyrolerie; her husband Robert Simon Gaudin, Sr.; her siblings, Neava Yentzen, Joseph Arlie Lapeyrolerie (Buster) and Stanford Lapeyrolerie; and her daughter Aline Ann Gaudin.

She is survived by: her sisters, Ula Perez and Ina Brownlow; and her children, Robert S. Gaudin, Jr., Kathy Gaudin, Walter Gaudin, Carol Guillot (Marshal), Avery Gaudin (Odette), Ramona Bell (Phil), Derald Gaudin, Stanley Gaudin (Lana), Maureen Gaudin, Donna Nassans (Louis), Denise Gaudin, Celia Lenox (Greg), Kyra Votaw (Charley), Charlotte Doyle (Gene) and Norris Gaudin (Jeni). She is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mona's memory to Heart of Hospice, 1100 Bertrand Drive, Suite A, Lafayette, LA 70506.

“Dear celia and family. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I have such fond and funny memories riding my bike over to your house way back. Mrs. Mona was always so happy and friendly. I clearly remember your dad too, sitting in his chair watching tv. I pray that all of you can find peace in knowing that your mom is in heaven with your dad, sister and the rest of your family.
