He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Bourgeois "Taunt Sue" Hebert; his parents, Robert Hebert and Eliza LeBlanc; his son Brent Marcus Hebert; and his siblings, Clifford Hebert, Georgie Lahaye, Rosa Mae Melancon and Rita Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Hebert (Kimberly) of Lafayette and Brenda Hebert Quirk (Rickey Guidry) of Carencro; his brother Robert Ray Hebert (Delores Soileau) of Port Barre; his grandchildren, Gaysha Quirk (Eric Tate) of Grand Prairie, Gearra Quirk Hargroder (Carson) of Jennings, Maverick Hebert of Florida, Lillian Hebert of Florida and Lilah Hebert of Carencro; and his great grandchildren, Eli David Hargroder and Owen Paul Hargroder of Jennings.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 14th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4708 I-49 Frontage Rd, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Monday, April 13th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (417 Saizan Ave, Port Barre, LA 70577).
