She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Palfrey and Sidney Babin Sr.; her siblings, Yvonne John, Sidney Babin Jr, Herman Babin Sr, Lawrence Narcisse and Samuel Charles; her granddaughter Erica Batiste Potier; and her siblings-in-law, Josephine Babin, Bertha Babin, Mary Eva Narcisse and Jean Baptiste John.

She is survived by: her spouse Russell Batiste; her children, Duvy Lindon Batiste of Lafayette, LA, Patricia Babin of Lafayette, LA, Unrika Mitchell (Lester) of Lafayette, LA, Ebbie Batiste of Houston and Eric Batiste (Edmonia) of St Martinville; and her godson John Phillip Savoy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
