She was predeceased by: her husband Alton Joseph Dugas, Sr.; her parents, Columbus Chiasson and Mary Thelma Daniel Chiasson; her siblings, Floyd Chiasson, Mary Lee Cormier, Warner Chiasson and Rose Chiasson Hebert; and her children-in-law, Peter D. Broussard and Brenda Wilson Dugas.
She is survived by: her children, Carole Broussard of Carencro, Alton Dugas, Jr. of Houston, Allison Dugas (Jacqueline) of Katy and Dwight Dugas (Shelly) of Lafayette, Louisiana; and her sister Mabel Chiasson Malveaux. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A rosary was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (145 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Lafayette, LA 70501).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations for masses be sent to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette, Louisiana.
