Lewis, Ida Sam Lewis, Ollie Briscoe, Bernadette Thomas Guidry and Spencer Guidry, Sr.; his niece Sharonda Lynn Angelle; his nephews, Joseph Lorome Briscoe and Nicholas Briscoe; and his sisters-in-law, Beatrice Angelle Briscoe, Shirley Monroe Briscoe and Brenda Weakly Briscoe.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Chaisson Briscoe of Lafayette; his children, Brandon Oliver Briscoe of Lafayette, Benjamin O'Neil Briscoe of Lafayette and Rosalind Yvette Ryan of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Brandy of Houston, Desiree, Paige, Ushema and Tramaine; and his siblings, Melva Rose Angelle (Leroy) of Lafayette, Ida B. Key (John) of Sunset, Cynthia Briscoe (Adam) of Cankton, Elizabeth Martin (Roland) of Carencro, Loretta Gray (Joseph) of Lafayette, Priscilla Bright (Edwin) of Franklin, Tennessee, Percy Briscoe of Carencro, Edward Briscoe (Gloria) of Church Point, Howard Briscoe (Ferlie) of Joelton, Joseph Briscoe (Nell) of Houston and Anthony Briscoe of Church Point. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (818 12th St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
