We are sad to announce that on June 3, 2025, at the age of 56, Orrister Henderson (Lafayette, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Orrister farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Orrister is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his mother Laura Mae Andrus. He is survived by: his siblings, Starlanet Henderson, Paulanet Henderson, Edwiana Henderson, Kelly Henderson and Furnell Andrus (Tammie). He is also survived by four uncles; two aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
