He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Carriere and Edolia Lanclos; his wife Merle Stelly Carriere; his daughters, Arlene Theriot and Denise Derouen; his great grandchild Finley Leger; his brothers, Rodney Carriere, Murphy Carriere, Sr., Lawrence Carriere and Nathan Carriere; and his son-in-law Ronnie Leger.
He is survived by: his children, Paul W. Carriere (Patsy), Peggy Leger, Michael Carriere (Gerrie) and Lawrence Carriere (Dane); his sisters-in-law, Pearly Dekerlegand and Verna Theriot; and his sons-in-law, Tommy Theriot and Ricky Derouen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
