It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Martin Trahan of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Crowley, Louisiana, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul A. Trahan and Margie Bernadette Venable Trahan. He is survived by : his children, Danielle Trahan of Lafayette, Danette Cady (Kevin) of Sunset, Paul Trahan, II (April) of Lafayette and Chelsi Trahan of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Zack Snider (Ashley) of Opelousas, Taylor Cady, Samantha Gaddy, Brooklyn Cady, Witni Snider, Rory Gaddy, Jaxon Trahan and Brilan Trahan; his siblings, Connie Trahan and Cyd Begnaud; and his former life partner Billie Jo Aucoin Trahan.

We only meet him a few times but vividly remember his kindness and lovely personality, I learned of his incredible and unusual service to our country from his sister.
