He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fabacher, Sr. and Alberta Lejeune; his son-in-law Martin Panyko; his grandson Shawn Candella; his great grandchildren, Corbin Dupre and Jesse Bourque; and his siblings, Clarence Fabacher, Grant Fabacher, John Fabacher, Jr., Joseph Fabacher, Francis Fabacher, Marie G. Gautreaux, Eula Mae Fabacher, Edna Marie Diaz and Helen Fabacher.
He is survived by: his wife Melba Foreman Fabacher of Lafayette; and his children, Beverly Fabacher, Dianna Panyko, Janelle Gallagher (Kenny), Charlene Comeaux (Tim Derouen), Lori Gregoire (Keith), Celeste Fabacher and Peter Ray Fabacher, Jr. (Jennifer). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
