He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Clayton and Opre Fanning Allen; his wife Suzan Geoffroy Allen; and his sister Teddy Annette Broussard. He is survived by: his children, Clay Morgan Allen (Linda) of Houston, TX, Annette Gorney (David) of New Orleans, LA and Aaron Allen (Michelle Minvielle) of Lafayette, LA; his grandchildren, Rachel, Morgan Gorney, Nina and Clayton Allen; and his caregivers, Harriet Fischer, Krista Matte, Debra Morgan and Rose Thibodeaux.
Raymond was an animal lover and cat rescuer and donated to local charities including the Lafayette Public Library Foundation, the Performing Arts Society and the Lafayette Animal Shelter.
