He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sterling; his children, Ethel Goodman, Shellie Prejean (Lester), Jessica Sonnier, Cynthia Comeaux (Roman), Ernest Goodman Sr. (Patricia), Ferron Prejean Sr (Jenika), Harry Dixon (Janet) and Greg Goodman; his siblings, Royal Sterling, Lloyd Sterling, Rosemary Davis and Ethel Warren; and his godchildren, Troy Sterling, Jessica, Howard Sterling, Cory and Leanna. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren.
