He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Hernandez Bacon; his children, Jude M. Bacon (Julie) of Lafayette, Kyle M. Bacon (Amy) of Lafayette, Jeanne E. Bacon Cloutier (Troy) of Lafayette and Kirk M. Bacon (Jaclyn) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Brittany Bacon Meaux (Adam) of Lafayette, Brett Bacon (Destiny Romero) of Lafayette, Andrew Bacon (Zoe LaCour) of Lafayette, Brendan Cloutier of Lafayette, Luke Bacon of Lafayette, Blaine Cloutier of Lafayette and Anna Clare Bacon of Lafayette; his great grandchildren, Tucker Meaux of Lafayette and Lucy Bacon of Lafayette; his brothers, John H. Bacon (Ginny) of Houston and Tex (Betty Begnaud); his brother-in-law Frank Robert Hernandez (Frances) of Breaux Bridge; and his granddaughter Brittany Bacon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Robert "Bob" Edward Bacon, 79, died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 31, 2026 at The Calcutta House in Lafayette, La. after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
