He was predeceased by: his parents, Blake M. Emert and Genevieve Robicheaux Emert; his sister Elizabeth Bourque; and his brother-in-law Larry Bourque. He is survived by: his sibling's children, Brian Bourque of Coweta, Oklahoma and Maia Bourque of Coweta, Oklahoma; and his friend Todd Latiolais of Lafayette.
