In the sacred silence of farewell, Robert is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Robert's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita Venable Gannard and Herbert A. Gannard. He is survived by: his wife Monica Gannard; his sons, Dwain A. Gannard (Karen) of Scott and Robert Kirk Gannard of Scott; his grandchildren, Hayden A. Gannard and Maci Boudreaux; and his siblings, Dwain Gannard (Edgar) and Cheryl Gannard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cypress Funeral Home (206 W Lafayette St, Maurice, LA 70555). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
