He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Phillips and Clarence Phillips; his son Darryl Phillips; and his sister Janet Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Cherri Phillips of Scott; his children, Shemaine Richardson (Todd) of Gonzales, Shandi Broussard (Justin) of Castle Rock, CO and Craig Phillips (Marcy) of Prairieville; his brother Carrol Phillips (Sharon) of Baton Rouge; and his grandchildren, Dylan Richardson, Grant Richardson, Ayden Phillips, Allie Phillips, Myah Broussard, Emma Broussard, Hannah Broussard, Ethan Broussard and Aliyah Broussard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Walters Funeral Home (2424 N University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70507). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home (2424 N University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70507). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (2300 N University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70507).
